Design Engine hosted a Blue Apple Theatre Company workshop for adults with learning disabilities. The workshop involving theatre performers and their helpers along with the assistance of some Design Engine staff to make some marketing material (blue apples!) for a forthcoming charity ball, to be held at the The Great Hall, Winchester on Friday 30th August 2013 in aid of the Blue Apple Theatre.
The Blue Apple Theatre Company is a highly ambitious theatre company which brings all the benefits of taking part in theatre to adult performers with learning disabilities, and enables them to present high quality productions to the widest possible audiences.
The event was organised through the Business Collective, who’s aim is to build a network of organisations pooling and exchanging their resources with the aim of helping to build their local economic and social wellbeing.
The workshop was filmed by the BBC for South Today, aired on Friday 28th June 2013.
